Bickham House, Kenn, was the destination of our second afternoon car-share trip on Thursday, 21st June, and Julia Tremlett was our guide. Julia was an interesting and entertaining speaker in March and she is even more so on her home turf. Her home has been in the family for over 400 years but the garden has evolved relatively recently. Julia has created a fascinating garden full of interesting plants – one of which she asked us to identify and she has so far been unable to do so! Can you identify it from the photo?
The walled vegetable garden was an absolute joy and provoked gasps of delight. After a delicious tea everyone left happily clutching their plant purchases! For a full report on the visit you’ll have to wait until next month!
