KILMINGTON VILLAGE FAYRE AND FLOWER SHOWSaturday, 29th July 2017
The rain failed to dampen the enthusiasm of local villagers and visiting holidaymakers for the entertainment on offer at the Kilmington Annual Flower Show and Village Fayre, opened by Doctors Simon and Yvonne Hodges. There was plenty for visitors to enjoy, including old-fashioned skittles, all manner of games and a display of classic tractors and motorbikes. The entertainment was provided by Mister Bumble and there were competitions for fancy dress and dogs!
As you will see from the photos, exhibits in the Floral Marquee ranged from brightly coloured flowers and floral arrangements, to vegetables and fruit, not to mention some very imaginative children’s entries. The other sections of the Gardening Club Show were displayed in the village hall – cookery, preserves, wine, craft work and there was some high-quality art work and fascinating photographs of ‘bugs’ and even ‘selfies’! Once again, the quality of the entries was praised by the judges.
We hope the photographs here give an indication of how good the entries were in all sections.
