We are delighted to announce that Jane Chalk, former Committee Member and organiser of the annual Plant Market, has agreed to take on the role of President following BJ Lewis’s retirement.

With a career in horticulture and on the Club’s committee for over 11 years, Jane’s knowledge will be invaluable. In Kilmington village’s Postscript magazine, you can also read Jane’s monthly diary about the vegetables, fruit and flowers she grows in her own garden.

What’s coming up in March

‘Perfect Partners’ by Jenny Short, Friday, 8th March, 7.30pm

Good Gardening

Kilmington has fertile soil, soft Devon climate, and a long tradition of good gardening.

Since its foundation more than 60 years ago, the village ‘Produce Association’ has spread its influence far beyond carrots and cabbages, offering talks and demonstrations by experts who understand the needs of the novice with a window box as well as the gardener with an acre or two.

We hold a plant market, open our gardens, arrange visits and host a summer Flower Show. We are ready to share our enthusiasm for plants and gardens with everyone, old or young, resident or visitor.

Kilmington Kids’ Corner

There are lots of ideas for growing your own vegetables and flowers.
